How you get your photos
Two ways, because phones and laptops behave differently and one of them always misbehaves.
Private online gallery
Hosted on Pixieset and password protected. Browse on your phone, hit Download All on a laptop, share the link with grandparents. Your gallery stays live for 90 days.
Direct cloud link
If you want every full-resolution file in one go, or the gallery is giving you trouble, I'll send a Google Drive or Dropbox folder instead. Same files, no account needed.
What you're allowed to do with them
You own a personal-use license to your files, forever. Download them, print them at any size, post them, put them on a canvas above the stairs, back them up in three places. That license never expires, even after the gallery link does.
What it does not cover is commercial use, resale, or a third party (a school, a league, a recruiting service, a newspaper) publishing them. That needs separate written permission — just ask, it's usually a quick yes.
Prints, if you want them done for you
Every gallery has a print store built in. Pick your size, and it's printed by a professional lab on real photo paper and posted straight to you.
You're never obliged to use it. Your license lets you print anywhere you like, and plenty of people do. This is just the version where you don't have to think about it.
Questions
The things parents ask
What resolution are the files?
Full-resolution JPEGs straight off a professional body — comfortably large enough for a 16×24 print. If you want something enormous for a bedroom wall, tell me and I'll make sure the crop supports it.
Can I print them?
Yes. Print as many as you like, at any size, anywhere you like — that's what the personal-use license is for. No per-print fee, no watermark, no lab I force you to use.
Can my kid's recruiting service or the school newspaper use them?
Not under the standard license — that's third-party and commercial use, and it's specifically excluded. But ask me. Recruiting profiles are usually a quick yes with a credit line, and I can issue a written permission so nobody is guessing later.
What if it rains?
If the league, the venue or the weather cancels or postpones, we reschedule at no extra cost within 30 days and your deposit moves to the new date. If there's genuinely no date that works, you get the deposit back minus any travel I'd already paid for.
Once I've confirmed your date, canceling inside 24 hours of the event forfeits the deposit — by then I've turned down other work for that slot. Before I've confirmed, you can cancel any time and get everything back.
What if I need photos faster?
Standard turnaround is 1–3 business days. If there's a signing deadline, a banquet or a birthday, email me before the shoot and I'll tell you honestly whether I can hit it. Rush turnaround is sometimes possible for a fee.
Do I get video as well as photos?
At a private practice shoot, yes — video clips are included in the price at no extra cost, and they land in the same gallery as your photos.
What I won't do is promise a number. Clips depend entirely on what happens in front of me that day, so video comes as a bonus on top of your guaranteed edited photos rather than something you're paying for. Some sessions produce a lot, some produce a couple.
Game day is photos only at the moment. Shooting stills and video at full speed during a live game means doing both worse, so I've chosen not to offer it yet. Your contract says this in writing either way, so there's no confusion later.
Do you shoot indoor sports and night games?
Yes. Gyms and Friday-night lights are harder — the light is worse and often an ugly color — but that's what fast glass and proper editing are for. Indoor and night shoots are priced the same.
How do I get a copy of my signed contract?
When you sign, the signed PDF is right there to download — grab it then, and it carries your Contract ID. If you've lost it, email me that ID — or your athlete's name and the event date — and I'll send it again.
What if I lose the download link?
Email me and I'll resend it. I keep your originals archived for 12 months after the shoot. After that they may be gone, or recovering them may cost a small fee — so please download and back up your files while the gallery is live.
Do I have to let you post photos of my kid?
No. The contract includes a model release so I can show work in my portfolio and on social, but there's a clearly marked opt-out box right next to it. Tick it and I won't use your child's images publicly. You still get every photo — opting out only limits what I can post.
After you pay
What happens next
So you know exactly what to expect, and when to chase me.
- I confirm the date. Within 48 hours of you signing I check I'm free for your event and message you either way. Signing holds your place; my confirmation holds the date. If I can't make it, you get a full refund.
- Your payment clears. Venmo can take 1–3 business days to settle. The clock on your edit starts when it lands, not when you hit send.
- I confirm receipt of the payment. A separate message matching your payment to your Contract ID.
- Editing. Every keeper gets color corrected, adjusted and cropped. Frames where your athlete is blinking or blocked don't make the cut — the guaranteed minimum is counted after that culling.
- Gallery goes live. Within 1–3 business days of full payment you get a private link and password.
- You download and back up. Grab the full-resolution files and put them somewhere safe. The gallery expires after 90 days.
- Archive. I hold your originals for 12 months in case you need a re-send.
